extra fancy pasta beads
I.LOVE.BEADS always have and always will! Pretty much every picture of me as a little girl shows me wearing layers of beads. If I had have known about these babies I would have been covered head to toe.
These are great to make in a big batch and are perfect for when little friends come over as they can all grab a bunch and have fun decorating them.
What you need
- Cardboard packaging
- Paint
- Thread
- Pasta tubes (we used rigatoni as its nice and big)
- Scissors
- Hot glue or craft glue
- glitter (optional)
1. Start by cutting out lots of shapes from cardboard. Keep it simple with as the fun is all in the decorating. Make sure your shapes are big enough to cover your pasta pieces.
2. Attach your pasta to the cardboard. I used hot glue here because its really quick but regular craft glue should be fine here.
3a (OPTIONAL) If you want you can spray paint all of the back of the beads at this stage. it gives a more finished look but its not necessary.
3. Get decorating! This is totally up to you what you do here. Go totally abstract and just dab on some paint or choose a colour scheme and get super sassy.
For me?
I think these might be adult worthy too, what do you think?
